Media brainwashing

Why is it these days that the young ones enjoy roaming the streets so much?? I'll tell you why..Because their delusional little minds have ideas of publicity much like that of their favorite celebrities. Totally brainwashed. This is due to the alluring pull of those crap filled pages of the brainless teen magazines that they consume themselves in. These kids don't read books anymore, they go for the brightly colored, busy front paged magazine, that features some gorgeous star on the cover whom of which, does not look like that in reality.

It's easy to understand why they select these bull****, poorly informational mags over books. They are designed to be very aesthetically pleasing, as to reach out and grab these youths, then mold their vulnerable minds to make them think that they need all the crap that is featured in the mag.

I won't mention names of these magazines, there is not much need to anyhow, they are obvious enough to pick. Such magazines contain little reading material, less factual information, and mainly consist of ads featuring products and clothes backed up by strong advice to purchase these things. These magazines aimed at the teen market, feature celebrities often, and provide tips on how to be more like them. These tips include: How to dress like the celebrities do (copy), where to buy clothes that imitate those of the famous people, what products celebrities use and other items that they purchase, followed up by references of where to purchase these things.

The quotations and phrases used in teen magazines, (mainly for girls), are whats more ludicrous. Sayings like 'So hot right now', 'WE looove this', ' What's hot and what's not','Gotta have this!', 'So and so is sooo gorge!' , are all brainless brainwashing words of bull****. Such phrases manifest in the young girls mind, creating some sort of delusional ideal. Their ideals go hand in hand with whom or what such phrases are accompanied by. This sort of brainwashing disconnects the young mind from humane qualities, resulting in what i call a media victim.

Media victims are media addicts. It's not just the magazines, although they are one of the most influential sources. Also responsible is TV. One show for example that is a hit with teenage girls is beauty and the geek. The title of the series, let alone the show it's self, deeply offends and disgusts me. It is sick! Who the hell has the right to label people and exploit them like this?! Of course the people featured on the show agreed to this,..why? I thought that 'geeks', were supposed to be smart?? Clearly they are not smart enough to realize that they have no hope in hell for a chance with the women on the show. The purpose of the show is to exploit the 'geeks' for the sick, inhumane entertainment of the public. As for the women, they are very tasteless and have very little self respect. The women are indeed gorgeous, but so what? What does that actually mean?...It means that the viewers are obsessed with physical appearance, and less concerned about what is on the inside. The viewers learn by watching the show, that beauty brings good fortune, and if they are beautiful, they are more likely to be liked and popular. Because the only reason these women got on TV, was because of their looks.

I do believe that it is healthy to take pride in your appearance, but the line must be drawn. Media has destroyed this line.

One other TV series that deserves a mention on this subject is Paris Hilton's - my new BFF. I was disturbed to see contestants on this show in tears upon eviction. It was as if being Paris Hilton's 'friend', was their dream, and some were devastated when their chances of that were gone. To be so obsessed with a famous person, is not what i consider to be mentally well or stable.

Some people just need to wake up and smell the bacon, as there are many more media victims out there than there are individual personalities.

If you have a a teenage daughter, i would advise that you keep a keen eye on what they choose to fill their heads with, because a media focus of a person can lead to mental and/or physical illness. Most commonly, eating disorders, for obvious reasons.

Brainwashing is used to a much larger extent than this. The strongest power on earth a human can have are phsycological, you put on a uniform and you beleive you have power, you get promoted to a manager and you beleive you have more power, you have a man who rules your country illusioning you that he has all the power. None of this power is physical, its all mental. Our main strength is the mind therfore it is also our biggest weakness. Person A knows this and person B does not and Person C does not beleive it therefore Person A will have the power. Media will continue to control for as long as it is followed by people that are as brainless as sheep.
