Dodgy fashion trends to dodge in 2010

As time goes on, fashion gets crazier, blurring the lines between flattering, and down right ridiculous. 2010 fashion trends bring a strong emphasis on the 80's, as fashion revolves in 30 year cycles. Don't be a victim! Latest Fashion at it's worst...

Bunny ears?! Introduced by Louis Vuitton, big bunny ears are going to be all the rage in 2010. This is where fashion walks a thin and dangerous line, fashion bordering on dress up party costume.

Who's to blame for this wacko trend?? I blame Lady Gaga!!

As you can see, these things stick up about 20-30 Cm's off your head, tell me guys, do you find this attractive?? It's so silly, i cannot believe it! But if your a Gaga fan, then your probably all for it.

Louis Vuitton 'bunny ears', come in a variety of colors ranging from hot pink, to black. For about $400, you too can look like a Gaga wannabe crossed with an Easter bunny on crack.

Ripped jeans: Okay, a small tear or two is fine, but what's on the catwalk for 2010, well they might as well not even be wearing pants. WHY purchase a pair of jeans, so abusively attacked with a craft knife, when you can do that yourself in 2 minutes flat?? Threads so mutilated, their barely hanging on are back, and worse than ever.

This ripped jeans trend, is constantly in and out of fashion, for reasons which i cannot understand! Sometimes, this trend works, but there's something ridiculous about the extreme cases of mutilated jeans..They give the impression that the slashes are for venting, but why wouldn't you just wear shorts or a skirt if it was a hot day?!

Either way, the ripped jeans trend has been around long enough for most people to get away with it, (minimal ripped), without raising too many eye brows. That's fine, but to actually go out and purchase these things?? Idiocricy at it's finest.

Jumpsuits: The only people whom should be wearing jumpsuits, are infants. The main reason being that, very seldom is the jumpsuit flattering on anyone!

I have seen grown women wearing full jumpsuits that are apparently 'fashionable', yet all women that i have seen wearing them in reality, look frumpy. Not to mention ridiculous.

Jumpsuits have been 'in' for the last couple of years, and come in a wide range of styles, each one equally as ugly as the next. Not only is the jumpsuit design one that leaves a lot to be desired, they also come in a wide range of hideous prints.

I predict that once the jumpsuit is finally off the radar, it won't be back for a very long time. Oh but it'll be back, uglier than ever..Fashion knows no limits.

Printed patterned pants: Are something that should not exist. But apparently any kind of printed pants ranging from tight and floral, to baggy and stripped, are all good in 2010. I strongly disagree, and feel that many others will also!

Patterned pants delude the shape of the lower half of your body, usually making you look bigger than you are, and like a clown. Printed patterns have no business making their mark on pants, few people will entertain this trend, and hopefully it dies fast!

Clogs:They were ugly last time they were 'in', and their ugly now.

What are they?? A shoe that can't decide whether it's a stiletto or a boot. Hey they're probably a lot comfier than your 'normal' heels, but I'm guessing by the chunkiness they tend to possess, that they are heavy.

So there are a few styles, like the black ones pictured, that aren't too bad. But still, a pump heel or likewise, looks much more attractive than those big cloggers!

Parachute Pants: Personally i like these for lounging around the house in, but that is where they should stay!

These pants are very comfy, but they should be classed more along the lines of pyjama pants, rather than a fashion statement.

There are variations of this pant that do actually look good, and are feasible for wearing in public, but that is with minimal bagginess, AKA, Genie pants. But minimal bagginess genie pants will tend to really only suit thin people.

Boot sandals: Boot sandals, are usually a basic sandal as far as the foot in concerned, but the sandal extends up to halfway up the leg, sporting thick strips of leather wraps, around the leg and/or ankle.

No doubt you've seen these 'things' around..do they do one any justice?? I think not. If anything, wearing these sandals will make your legs look shorter than they really are, and we don't want that do we?!

Personally, i think they're hideous,a trend that's aimed at media victims...

Metallic: Metallic shinny Lycra type fabrics are going to be in fashion in 2010, metallic tights, skirts, tops, and body suits...Reality check: We are humans, not spacemen!

Possibly, this trend could work with a stick figure, but everyone else don't have a show in hell of workin' metallic's.

Metallic's are a very unnatural look, they look so 'spacey', which should be reserved for outrageous stage performances..(ahem, Gaga..)

If the fabric is silk, or the garment has only a splash of metallic, then metallic is good, but if it's an imitation leather, full metallic garment type deal, flag it!

Broad shoulders: Shoulder pads are coming back..head for Granny's wardrobe!

Once shoulder pads went out of fashion, last time they were 'in', much ridicule was made. Yet they're here again! It's way too soon for shoulder pads to make a successful come back, so don't be a fool!

Broad shoulders are manly, so i'd be really interested to hear about some guys opinions about them. Shoulder pads are an irrational chick trend, that few men will see the beauty in, as they make you look buff!! Buff and broad = unwomanly = unsexy.

Frills:
Frills are all good..in moderation. Too much and you'll be resembling an old fashioned dunny roll dolly...Enough said!
